If there's one thing MariLUG and The LEGO® Group can agree on, it's that helping kids get their hands on the world's favourite toy is one of life's greatest joys.

We actually agree on a whole lot of other things too, but let's stay on track – with MariLUG's 'train table' building zone, made possible through support from LEGO®.

This activity travels to multiple MariLUG events to provide an interactive element. All aboard for creative fun!

When QuéLUG came down to install their brick-built model of Fortress Louisbourg at the real historic site, they reached out to us to see if we'd like to join them – as if that was even a question!

Patrick and Lori made the trip to help the Louisbrick crew set up, and we also contributed design work for several tiles of the interactive 'mini-Louisbrick' activity that stayed behind even after the big display came down.

When you have a huge pile of dark azure bricks and you want to build a landscape, what can you do? Make it an alien landscape, of course!

MariLUG blasted off into the realm of science fiction with a different kind of blue planet assembled at a group building event, and thanks to support from The LEGO® Group, we were able to add explorers and vehicles to make the scene come alive.

From September to November, MariLUG members assisted our friend Christine Hempel with a brick-themed workshop series, including:

• City Building

• Mosaic Building

• Design with Nature, Design with LEGO®

• Beyond the Grey Grid

These workshops were not only super fun, they were also great inspiration for the builders and leaders of tomorrow!
